Welcome to TU(Banmaw)

Technological University (Banmaw) was established in order to develop multitalented engineers who are excellent in science and technology.  It was also aimed to be able to use modern and developed engineering technology effectively in various practical fields of Kachin State and to provide for the modern development of Kachin State by increasing interest in engineering and science and spreading desire to learn it among local youth in the State.

Our University has most modern facilities. Inside our buildings, you can find multimedia lecture halls, labs with the best equipment and modern library. The University provides access to free internet services specifically for teachers, students and staff to assist in the teaching, learning, research and administration process. We have a unique basketball field, comfortable canteens and hostels for our students, to say nothing of other numerous facilities. We have provided the right conditions for students with special needs to study. Technological University (Banmaw) provides undergraduate engineering education and training services. At present, the University is offering four Engineering Programs: Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Technological University (Banmaw) is nurturing well-qualified and creative engineers to meet our motto, “From Now’s Innovation to Future’s Creativity”, by establishing Vision, Mission and Strategic Plans of the University.
